A workshop to honor the quiet places where Allah’s light has touched you
We begin with a confession: we are broken and held at once
This is an invitation to honor the Divine as it appears
in a sanctuary built of shared, radical honesty
The premise is وحدة الوجود, the Unity of Existence—the Sacred is not separate from the blood in our veins, the dust under our feet, the grief in our bones
We will turn to Four Acts of Remembrance to unlearn the lessons of scarcity and exclusivity
to renew our inherent entanglement with the Vastness that has always held us, even when we believed we were alone
Come as you are, not as you should be
This is for the faith that is still being written, for the heart open to its own expansion
THE FOUR ACTS ARE
ZIKR / ذکر
a conscious, often rhythmic, calling to mind of the Divine
METTA / میتا
to cultivate unconditional loving-kindness towards oneself and all beings, mirroring Rahma, inherent in creation
TAWEEZ / تعویذ
making a physical, external object serving as a visual or tactile reminder of Divine presence
DUA / دعا
and a personal plea, a conversation or expression, focusing on direct communication and surrender
WHO IS IT FOR?
This workshop warmly welcomes anyone of a Muslim faith, including marginalized Muslims. Not a space where your religiosity will be questioned, nor asked “what kind” or “how Muslim” you are.
You're not required to have a perfectly resolved relationship with faith, a consistent practice, or prior Sufi knowledge.
You will make the best of this workshop if you bring in a heart open to expansion, ears ready to listen compassionately, and an introspective mind. Those drawn to a spiritually-led pursuit of social justice, I long for us to practice together.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
My work is to blend artistic and spiritual practices, revitalising rituals to bring alignment in a disorienting world. I create spaces for collective rest, reflection and healing, guiding participants to reconnect with powerful memories through personal objects, like names, music, or in this case, one’s experiences of Divine presence. My workshops are containers where unspoken truths emerge, are felt, witnessed, and held with love. We turn to these truths for wisdom in our striving for liberation in a climate of disconnection.
